Thai Culture field trip
Destination: Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai-Mae Hong Son/ Area of study: Culture
ChiangMai and neighboring provinces have unique culture, generally called "Lanna culture". Get there to learn about local people's life and their rich culture. Topics that we focus on also include Agriculture (rice farming & buffalo), the relationship of mahout & elephant, Handicrafts (silk, mulberry paper) Royal project. We also trek to Hill tribe village to study their self-sufficient life.
Chiang Rai is also filled with cultural and natural wonders, including the Golden Triangle where Thailand, Laos, and Burma come together; an area that was once the hub of opium production, a trade that had much influence on cultural practices and lifestyles. Students will also enjoy the pristine natural beauty of the countryside and immerse themselves in the indigenous culture, including those of a variety of different hill tribe communities. Besides, Chiang Rai is also a center for community development projects, helping rural villagers develop their attractions without adversely affecting their natural and cultural assets.
Wild plant and Animal field trip
Destination: Khao Yai the World heritage site, Doi Inthanon the highest mountain
Khao Yai is one of the largest intact monsoon forests in mainland Asia and considered by many to be among the best national parks in the world. Khao Yai was also designated as a World Heritage Site. There, we study Wild plant and its diversity, Wild animals (footprints at salt-lick site, threatened species & protection, nocturnal animals) and Wild birds including hornbills (4 species)
Marine ecology field trip
Destination: Trang-Krabi, Phuket, Similan island/ Area of study: Marine ecology
Discover the marine life, coral and its classification in Andaman sea, and visit Peninsular botanic garden to study a diversity of life in different type of forest (Low-land evergreen and Peat swamp forest) and the richness of the ecological interactions that occur in the forests. Learn how to conserve various species of plants including pitcher plant. Take Nature trail and Canopy walk to study the branches and leaves that spread out at the top of a group of trees
Dinosaur Fossil & Rock field trip
Destination: Korat-Khonkaen-Kalasin/Area of study: Geology & Paleontology
Back to Mesozoic era. Join with us to study dinosaur fossils discovered in Northeastern region of the country, known as the Korat Plateau. Learn about 5 new species of Dinosaur found only in Thailand including Phuwiengosaurus Sirindhornae. Not only visiting the dinosaur sites, but also the best and biggest fossil research center and dinosaur museum of South East Asia. After the discovery of dinosaur fossils in 1994, the Department of Mineral Resources researchers excavated the fossils and found that this place is the largest herbivorous dinosaur site in Thailand; most of the fossils belonging to sauropods from 120 million years ago. Apart from the dinosaur, students will also learn about different type of rock (Igneous rock, Sedimentary rock, Metamorphic rock)
World heritage site field trip
Destination: Ayutthaya-Sukhothai, Korat-Burirum, Bangkok/ Area of study: History & Archeology
The UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) has designated five World Heritage Sites in Thailand. The last designation was in 2005, approximately fourteen years ago. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites are places of importance to cultural or natural heritage as described in the UNESCO World Heritage Convention.
Among those five, we focus on the Ayutthaya historical park(AD1350-1767), and Historic Town of Sukhothai (AD1238-1438)and Associated Historic Town(Sukhothai Historical Park, Si Satchanalai Historical Park and Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park). Students will study the history, style & layout of temples and sanctuaries. As additions, interesting sites can also be included in the programme such as Panomrung Sanctuary, Muangtum Sanctuary, Pimai Sanctuary.
For those who are interested in Rattanakosin era(present era), the Grand palace ,Wat pho and some more historical temples in Bangkok can also be combined.
Coastal ecology field trip
Destination:Pranburi-Prachuab, Krabi, Samutprakarn/ Area of study: Coastal ecology
Cruise around Pranburi estuary to study mangrove and its marine kindergarten. Learn about all benefits of mangrove, germination and seedling, deforestation and rehabilitation. Also visit Fisherman village to observe fisherman’s works, their boat and fishing tools. Additional topics include Cave formation and Aquatic plant

World War II history field trip
Destination:Kanchanaburi/ Area of study: World history
Learn about the World War II history from several historical sited in Kanchanaburi. In 1942 Kanchanaburi was under Japanese control. It was here that Asian forced labourers and Allied POWs, building the infamous Burma Railway, constructed a bridge. Almost half of the prisoners working on the project died from disease, maltreatment, or accidents. Students will experience the story through several memorial sites and museums such as Thailand–Burma Railway Centre, JEATH museum (Japanese-English-American-Australian-Thai-Holland), War Museum, Kanchanaburi War Cemetery.
Local way of life field trip
This field trip allows us to study local people who rely on their river and land. We visit coconut plantation and study coconut palm sugar making process. Also other local productions namely, five-colored Royal porcelain, coconut shell product, Jataka carved teak wood, Thai shadow puppet an its performance (Nang Yai), Glazed Jar & Ceramic ware
